The full moon on May 5th conjoins Jupiter and makes a quincunx (or inconjunct) to Saturn. Mercury and Saturn are opposing each other, and Mars opposes Neptune and Chiron.
These aspects tend to have a lot of push-me-pull-you energy. Saturn retrograde in Libra opposing Mercury in Aries has energy dealing with the individual versus the collective, and speaking your mind. It only becomes a battle when the one group tries to silence another. Saturn in Libra has been trying to teach the lesson of human rights, and equal rights. I suspect as the Taskmaster moves into Scorpio that we will see people reap what they have sown as far as what their responsibility has been, and whether or not they shouldered their fair share.
Neptune in Pisces opposing Mars in Virgo shakes things up with the debate over spiritual values, what is valid, what is not and who makes the determination. With Saturn in Libra, we’ve been seeing this energy ramping up for a few years. Dogma versus love. Tradition versus something that works with the current technology and infrastructure. This energy of the Mars/Neptune opposition likely also has to do with changing the workplace, how it is structured, and how the world functions as a whole in the everyday, mundane world.
Pluto is trining Mars, creating some earthy oomph for business, career and work. You may see people being promoted, releasing new and improved products or services, and generally bringing their game to a new level. With Uranus making a quincunx to Mars, we may see more debate about the worth of women, and how they need fair and equal treatment.
Chiron in Pisces heralds a time of the underdog coming out on top, and oddballs achieving success after being subjected to years of criticism. See Sharon Needles on Drag Race, as an example. I’m interested to see if Chiron in Pisces will indeed reinvigorate punk in the truest sense. Crossing my fingers!
I am wondering if we’ll be seeing some big storms, or if there will be a significant earth change event in the next week or so. It could be that the storms are metaphorical and idealogical, even though Taurus Sun and Jupiter may indicate a concrete manifestation.
Venus goes retrograde May 15th in late degrees of Gemini.
May 20th marks the first in this year’s series of eclipses. The new moon and solar eclipse is at zero degrees Gemini, with Venus in Gemini retrograde trining Saturn in retrograde in Libra. Mutable signs Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces are manifestation areas, while cardinal signs Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn are initiators. We have the Sun, Moon, the Moon’s Nodes, Venus, Neptune, Chiron, and Mars in mutable signs. We have Uranus, Saturn and Pluto in cardinal signs. We only have Mercury and Jupiter in fixed Taurus, making the changes that were initiated stick. This eclipse is likely to be a “long time comin’” manifestation eclipse.
With Venus in retrograde, you may find people from your past showing up to deliver information that you didn’t know you needed.
June 4th is a lunar eclipse in Sagittarius, which as discussed earlier is likely to come with some form of manifestation process since it’s a mutable sign. Planetary energy is typically not an instant “bingo” kind of energy, but rather cycles of planting seeds, gestation, and then sowing the end result. With the N. Node of the moon close to this eclipse, there’s probably going to be a little bit of “fated” energy coming through. Between now and then- be careful what you wish for, and write down your inentions clearly. The Sun is closely conjoining Venus retrograde, and Mercury is happy to be in his ruling sign. Pluto sextiles Chiron, bringing a potential for healing if you’re willing to do the work. Crabby mars is squaring the Sun, Venus and the Moon – creating a T-square, a grand square if we throw Chiron in Pisces into the mix. I get the feeling this is about making better choices, and being open to the Truth. It’s mostly people who have a stick in their ass sideways who get thrashed with energy like this. Mutable energy insists that you stretch, flex and stop being so selfish. If you’re impatient to have the flower in the vase, you might cut it off too early and it won’t bloom.
Neptune goes retrograde June 4th, on the same day as the eclipse.
Chiron goes retrograde June 11th.
Saturn goes direct June 25th, after being retrograde since February.
Venus goes direct June 27th, after being retrograde since May 15th.
